Egypt Puts Productivity and Competitiveness at the Heart of Economic Transformation, Finance Minister Says at talabat Event

Ahmed Kouchouk highlights export growth, job creation and better services as key priorities, praising talabat Egypt for taking innovation into international markets

Boosting productivity and strengthening competitiveness top the priorities of Egypt’s economic transformation programme, Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said at talabat’s annual celebration, highlighting the private sector’s role in driving innovation, expanding exports and creating jobs.

Kouchouk said the programme focuses on boosting exports and supporting goods-producing and service sectors, with strong opportunities for export growth.

“We are working to make the best use of our resources to advance development, serve citizens and stimulate economic activity,” he said. The programme also aims to deliver better services for the middle class while maintaining the country’s social protection system.

Creating more jobs, improving incomes and expanding services are central objectives, the minister added. He stressed that economic success is closely linked to the success of businesses, describing talabat as an example of how companies can support innovation and development.

“We take pride in seeing talabat Egypt export services, ideas and innovative ways of working to other markets,” Kouchouk said.

He added that deeper integration into global markets and value chains strengthens Egypt’s competitiveness. With its location connecting Africa, Asia and Europe, Egypt serves as a logistics hub and a promising gateway for a wide range of business activities and services.

The Chief Executive Officer of talabat Holding described Egypt as the company’s largest and most important market worldwide and a major regional hub for innovation. He praised the exceptional efforts of the company’s teams and partners in driving growth and attracting more customers.

Hadeer Shalaby, Vice Chair and Managing Director of talabat Egypt, expressed appreciation for the government’s support and commitment to strengthening the private sector’s role in development. She said talabat Egypt had secured the top position within the company and continued to expand its operations and enhance service quality.
